The US HHS and USDA published an advanced notice of proposed rulemaking on July 21, 2010. Comments will be considered if received before August 20, 2010. Changes to the regulation may include the addition and/or removal of agents/toxins and the potential addition of a teiring process based on risk for agents/toxins. Mr. Read is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and
Biological Safety Professional (CBSP) with over 12 years of
wide-ranging experience implementing, managing and directing
regional and corporate environmental, health and safety programs.
Since earning his Masters of Public Health, he has obtained
extensive experience directing EH&S at the world's leading
biotechnology organizations. Mr. Read's greatest expertise
lie in the areas of: biological safety, industrial hygiene, injury illness and
prevention, emergency response, ergonomics, environmental and
occupational health and safety management systems, waste operations,
and both non-ionizing and ionizing radiation safety. |
